Its nearly three years since Canton Depot closed and all the feature articles that have ever appeared on this site have been retained for all to enjoy. The "bird on the nest" is the infamous Mengadactyl which landed on the roof of 67014 whilst under repair. Evidentally it was tradition at Canton Depot to remind the management of long stay locomotives by exhibiting the "bird and nest". What ever happened to this fine bird together with the Scarab Tractor unit when Canton Depot closed?
